Registration
Registration
A person must be registered with the College in order to practice physical therapy and use the title “Physiotherapist” in Manitoba. This includes working as a physiotherapist; participating in a physiotherapy clinical placement; or taking or teaching a course involving physiotherapy treatment of the public and course participants. A person may be registered as Active, In-active, Exam Candidate, Temporary or Student. Scroll down to view common registration situations.

Appeals

You may appeal a decision about your registration (Exam Candidate and Active Practice). The appeal process takes up to 3 months to complete.

To appeal, submit a letter within 30 days of receipt of your decision letter. Your letter must include:

Your name
Your address
The date of your decision letter
The reasons for your appeal

CPM will review your registration and notify you of its final decision within 90 days. If CPM maintains its original decision, you have the right to seek additional guidance from a lawyer.
