For a limited time, applicants have more than one option available to them to move to the Active register in Manitoba.*

The option of registering as an Examination Candidate with the plan of completing the PBCA or another clinical evaluation available to Manitoba residents (Ontario Clinical Exam (OCE) and the Alternate Examination BC (ACEBC)), requires eligibility for registration on the Examination Candidate Register on or before October 2, 2025. This means either:

1. The successful passing of the Written Exam through CAPR and completing registration with CPM

OR

2. Proof of registration for the October or November Written Exam.

•   The applicant must submit ALL required documentation to the College on or before the October 2, 2025 deadline. For those writing the October or November written examination, proof of registration for the written examination is required.  Please contact our office at registration@manitobaphysio.com for more information regarding all required documents that apply to your situation.

Those writing the October or November examination will not be able to complete registration and/or start working under supervision until passing the written component and providing proof to CPM.

Failure of the October or November written examination will result in the applicant moving to the single entry to practice examination pathway available in 2026.

*Note: Individuals are not eligible for registration on the Manitoba Examination Candidate register if they have three failed attempts at completing any combination of Manitoba’s PBCA, the Physiotherapy Competency Examination Clinical Component administered by CAPR, or any other Canadian physiotherapy regulator’s clinical competency evaluation for full licensure. Individuals are also not eligible for registration on the Examination Candidate register if they successfully passed the written component more than two years prior to the registration date or were formerly registered and their two-year eligibility ended.
