Manitoba Possible Parking Permit Program
The Parking Permit Program, administered on behalf of the province by Manitoba Possible, formerly the Society for Manitobans with Disabilities, is shifting to a digital application and renewal process on June 30, 2021.
Accessible by the Parking Permit Program webpage, healthcare practitioners will be directed to a fillable online application hosted on DocuSign. The application process will connect applicants, their healthcare practitioner, and Manitoba Possible in a secure, verified digital process. This online process is intended to be initiated by a healthcare provider. Individuals in need of a parking permit are encouraged to visit their healthcare provider to begin the application.
Steps for Healthcare providers to Initiate a New Application:
- Visit https://www.manitobapossible.ca/parking-permits
- Click the Apply Online button
- Users will be directed to a verified and secure online form on DocuSign where they must enter in their name email address and the name and email address of client*
- Client or healthcare professional will fill out client information on page 1
- Healthcare professional will complete page 2 and digitally sign
- Client will be sent form to digitally sign via email
- Clients will be prompted to provide payment information (payment will not go through at this time)
- Completed applications will be directed to Manitoba Possible Parking Permit Program for digital approval
- Upon approval, payment will be processed
- Parking Permit tags will be mailed to client following approval.
- If for any reason a permit is not approved, the client and healthcare provider will be notified via email that the application has been “voided” – a brief reason will be included.
*Note that the digital application requires the client have an email address. If a client does not have an email address, updated application forms can be found on the Parking Permit Program webpage
Healthcare providers are encouraged to bookmark the Parking Permit Webpage for ease of access.
Digital Renewals for Clients:
- Parking Permit Program will deliver email communications to parking permit holders with a link to the online renewal form*
- Clients will complete the one page form on DocuSign
- Clients will be prompted to provide payment information (payment will not go through at this time)
- Completed renewals will be directed to Manitoba Possible Parking Permit Program for digital approval
- Upon approval, payment will be processed
- If for any reason a permit is not approved, the client will be notified via email that the application has been “voided” – a brief reason will be included.
*Clients without an email address will be contacted via offline means to renew their permit.
Manitoba Possible is thrilled to launch a simplified parking permit process that can be completed in minutes and reduce the need for Manitobans to mail in applications or make the drive to our service headquarters at 1857 Notre Dame Ave in Winnipeg.
Applications will remain in printable formats available on the Parking Permit Program webpage for Manitobans who may require physical applications or those who do not have an email address or a way to pay digitally. Service centre locations will be able to print applications for those who do not have access to technology.
