Fair Registration Practices Office

The College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba strives to meet the requirements of the Fair Registration Practices in Regulated Professions Act by working in collaboration with the Fair Registration Practices Office (FRPO). The FRPO works with self-regulated professions in Manitoba under the Act to help ensure applicants for registration are treated and assessed in a way that is transparent, objective, impartial and fair.

The College provides reports on the registration outcomes and practices yearly to the FRPO. These reports are provided below.

The 2023 amendments included introducing a provision to establish regulations regarding language proficiency policies.

The College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba has information related to the Language Requirements for Registration on the website and has engaged a third-party, the Canadian Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulators, to meet the requirements of the 2023 amendments.
