Registration
Registration
A person must be registered with the College in order to practice physical therapy and use the title “Physiotherapist” in Manitoba. This includes working as a physiotherapist; participating in a physiotherapy clinical placement; or taking or teaching a course involving physiotherapy treatment of the public and course participants. Updated Respiratory Virus Guidance

Council passed a motion at their October 25, 2023 meeting for all licensed physiotherapists in Manitoba to continue to follow the Shared Health guidelines outlined in the Upper Respiratory Virus Guidance released October 16, 2023 to all health care workers. This document stated, “Effective October 18, 2023, health-care workers will be required to wear a medical grade mask while interacting with patients, long-term care residents and clients. This applies to all health-care workers in all settings (acute, long term care and community).”
